Modern software development is moving away from what you might call pure development, and closer to vibe coding and agentic AI driven workflows. This is fantastic as it enables a real step change in levels of productivity. In fact, I don't believe there is any time or resource-based excuse for not including things like automated testing into projects in this day and age.
For example, if an AI agent is set off in the wrong direction, has been asked to build the wrong thing, or worse, has been asked to build the right thing but in an ambiguous manner, then all that AI speed is going to result in something that's gone wrong really fast, and without course correction until it is too late. Without reviewing what an AI has created, then you may find yourself with an expensive problem down the road, after you have paying customers, or live users that just want your service to be working correctly.
That's where I come in. Whether you are hiring me to review an AI built / assisted product, or to write one for you from scratch - my years of problem solving, code writing and reviewing, and breadth of technological experience allow me to use the AI tools in the best possible way.
I am fully in favour of using AI tooling extensively, but carefully.
